This was a really fun room to create, allowing us to be playful with the design and to make a space that would both inspire, and grow with, its occupants. Ample storage was a must to give toys and games an organised home.

In our classic Arlington Shaker style, we incorporated pull out storage cabinets, (one specifically for plastic dinosaurs) and full height cabinetry with reeded glass fronts and internal shelving. Less formal than solid doors, the opaque glass allows the cabinetry to feel open whilst obscuring the view to what’s inside.

Grey washed solid oak desk tops provide a dedicated study area and the media cabinetry, with inset fire, provides a laid-back zone in which to relax. The room was finished with ¾ height wall panelling to complement the existing period features of the house and the bold pop of colour from the plush yellow sofa perfectly completes the space.
